2008 River Rescue Works!
River Rescue 2008 was held on June 7th on the Finely River and historic Ozark Mill for the 5th consecutive year.
Streams and Lakes in the Ozarks are severely impacted by faulty septic tanks, yard fertilizer, and stormwater runoff. At the James River Basin Partnership, we’re taking year round action to correct this problem.
A few of our many programs include teaching homeowners how and when to apply fertilizer, helping pay for septic tank pump outs, and promoting rain barrels. Each year we celebrate our efforts with RIVER RESCUE.
This year's event promised to be the best ever, with the clean up on the Finley River. We ended the day with our benefit concert at the historic Ozark Mill with local bands Lyal Strickland, Gary Gallier, and Mincks and Miller Band.
